“Hit-by-car trauma with multiple orthopedic injuries including a previously operated, left, diaphyseal, femur fracture with bone plate fixation failure, post-surgical infection, hypertrophic nonunion and severe quadriceps contracture. Today, the left femur is straight, healed and remodeling with no evidence of pain or infection. There is more than 120 degrees stifle flexion range of motion, thigh muscle hypertrophy and near normal gait.”
