“Robbie’s Tornado is an ex-racing Greyhound who injured himself on the track. A severely comminuted fracture of the right tibia was diagnosed. He was first stabilized on site by the veterinarian of the racing track with pain relief, fluid therapy, and supportive dressing. He was then referred to Willows Referral Centre. The fracture was repaired the following day, using an I-Loc® and minimally invasive osteosynthesis technique. He made good and rapid recovery and bone healing was complete 3 months postoperatively. Robbies is now retired from racing and living a happy life, racing around with his former trainer, John.”
