“Loki presented with a 5-week history of right hind limb lameness. A chronic femoral capital physeal fracture was diagnosed. Looking for the best possible outcome, his owner decided to pursue a total hip replacement versus a femoral head and neck excision to address his injury. Loki was one of the first patients in this practice to receive one of the newly introduced Small Breeds BFX® (biologic fixation) acetabular cups. Loki made a full recovery following his total hip replacement. Now, over two years out from his procedure, he is back to climbing, jumping, and being as curious as ever thanks to his new hip!”
