“Leo is a delightful Maine Coon cat who originally presented to us in early 2017 with right hind lameness attributable to a slipped femoral capital physis. He received a right THR for this using a No. 3 stem and a 12mm cup. He became lame on his left hind soon after this surgery and a left slipped capital femoral physis was confirmed with further radiographs. A left THR was then performed six weeks after the right side using identical prostheses. His owner, Andrew Aust, is thrilled with how well Leo has done following his bilateral staged hip replacement surgery and reports that he is back to his usual self.”
